Trip to Oregon

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to Oregon to visit with family. It wasn't the best of circumstances. My Grandfather has MS and isn't doing too well. I pretty much went down there knowing that this would be the last time that I would see him in this life. I debated going. I really didn't want to take the kids and I didn't want to make the long car ride. However, things began to fall in place. A wonderful friend of mine offered to take the boys for Thursday and Friday, and JBody said he could handle nights and the weekend with them alone. My brother Skyler came along with Razy and I. It was really nice. I got to visit with two of my Aunts and we lifted eachothers spirits in between trips to grandpa's. On Saturday my parents met up with us and we went to lunch with my Great Grandmother. It was hard to see my grandfather in the state that he was in and at times even harder to see my little brother trying to handle the situation. Yes it is a sad thing to lose a loved one, but I see the way he is in pain and having to lie in bed all day unable to move. He is losing his memory and talks about places that he has been in when he was younger as if he is that age right now. I know that when it comes time for him to pass it will be hard, especially for his children, but I also know that he will be happy and pain free and we will all see him again someday. That is so hard, but I am glad you were able to go and spend time with your fam.

Sorry i am a comment slacker...I always read, just don't always comment especially if I am at work. I really need to do better.

As for the photo title the other week. Sorry for the name dropping. I thought about it but wondered if anyone would really notice what I was spelling. ;) Glad it at least made you smile.
