Have you ever had one of those nights where it is 5:00pm and you should be having dinner ready to serve in an hour, but don't even know what it is you are going to make? I have those types of nights many times during the week. Then add t-ball practice and games, and prep practice and games, meetings, cranky kids, and just being plain old tired to the mix. Well today was no different of a night. I was actually getting the kids ready to go to a baseball game when I got the call that it was going to be cancelled due to weather. Yeah, yes I was a bit excited, but then that also meant that I had less time to think of something to make. I looked in the fridge and found some chicken breasts. I rarely have thawed chicken in the refridgerator so I was very pleased with this.
So what to make with chicken. I get kind of tired of the same old so I started brainstorming. I could make a casserole with some stuffing and cream of chicken and veggies. No. What about stir fry? Nah. Razy was helping me out and she pulled out some ranch from the fridge. Okay, chicken and ranch. Then it hit me.
I squirted a bunch of ranch into a bowl and rolled the chicken breasts in it. Getting it nice and smothered. Razy hellped me by crushing up a bag of Stove top and putting it in a bowl with some parmesan cheese. Then we rolled the covered chicken into the stuffing mix and placed it on a wire rack over a cookie sheet. Probalby would have been just fine like this, but we then melted some butter and drizzled it over the chicken. Popped it in the oven for 40 mins at 400 degrees and VIOLA we had yummy crispy ranch chicken. I was quite pleased with myself and my new thought up recipe. Yeah I know I didn't make it up. Someone somewhere has come up with it, but I didn't have to search the internet for the recipe. I thought of it myself.
Give it a try. All the kids gobbled it up and JBody really liked it and gave me many compliments.
Is there a recipe that you have concocted yourself? I would love to hear it!

Birthday Banner {tutorial}
I am starting early (well earlier than normal) getting ready for Doble's birthday. I still have about 2 weeks left. I just don't want to stress myself out the week of his birthday. So today I made his birthday banner. I love the way it turned out and I think it will go perfectly with the theme of his party. I am trying to go cheap so I am doing as much as I can with things I already have. I didn't want to go and buy more paper for the banner so I looked through my huge collection and found some pretty cute stuff.
Pennants are super cute for banners. I don't have a cut file for a pennant so I thought I would just make my own template. I don't know if you can tell by my picture how I did this. I measured the top of the pennant to be 5 1/2 inches. The length is 6 1/2 inches. I then found the middle which is 2 3/4 inches an connected them diagonally from the top corner to the bottom center point. Then I cut it out used it as a template.
The scallop circle measures 4 inches and the circle is 3 inches
I downloaded a new font called Romantiques. Using SCAL I layed out my letters for HAPPY BIRTHDAY and put a cricut marker into the blade housing deck of my cricut. The markers are so fun. Instead of cutting your design they actually draw it on to the paper. After they print out you are ready for assembly.
all it takes is a little glue stick
I love my Crop-a-Dile. For all of my banners I use it do reinforce the hole punch so they last longer. String it with some ribbon and then VIOLA!!
So cute huh? I love it. Can you guess what his theme is this year? I can't wait to show you the other things we have come up with for decorations.

Week Long Easter: The Last Supper
Today for lunch we dressed up in New Testament attire and shared a meal that may have been similar to that which Jesus might have eaten. We talked to the kids about how Jesus washed the feet of his Apostle's. We talked about the Last Supper and why it is called the Last Supper. The kids looked so cute dressed up in their costumes, drinking grape juice from their goblets, and eating olives from their fingers. They surprised me again with their knowledge about why Christ washed the feet of his Apostles and entertained us with their goofy personalities.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine in a bowl: 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Cut in 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in 2/3 cup buttermilk. Mix in one egg and two cups flour. Using a rolling pin, roll dough into several pieces and roll out very thin on a floured board (if not rolled out thin, it will have the consistency of heavy bread). Lay sheet of dough on ungreased flat baking pans. Prick with a fork. Cut into 4-inch squares with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
What a fun and meaningful way to teach our children about the events leading up to Christ's Resurrection.
The Menu:
lamb, veal, and beef kabobs
grapes
strawberries
boiled eggs
salad with balsamic vinegar dressing
unleavened bread
olives
grape juice

Easter Egg Rice Krispy Treats
Rice Kripy Treats are a great treat. You can transform them into anything for a fun holiday treat. Today after our Family Home Evening Lesson using Easter Eggs we dyed eggs and created these cute little eggs.
To create you will need:
1/4 cup butter
1 bag of marshmellow mini's
5-6 cups Rice Kripies
Gel coloring
Plastic Easter Eggs
Step 1: Over medium heat, melt butter, marshmellows, and gel coloring.
Step 2: When melted remove from heat and add Rice cereal
Step 3: GREASE YOUR HANDS!! you don't want to burn yourself. Hot mallows are not to be messed with. After they are greased you are ready for work.
Step 4: Take a handful of kripies and squish them into a plastic egg. Close the egg up and then open and viola!
Are those just not so cute?! And they taste so yummy. If I had more time I would have made 2 more colors.
Do you have any fun Easter Treat Ideas? I would love to try them out.

Week Long Easter: Easter Egg Lesson
This year we are going to focus on Easter like we have done with Christmas. When Lil' E was a baby my mom gave me an Easter Egg lesson that I have since lost pieces to and now can't seem to find any of it. As I was searching the internet I was grateful to find that others were willing to share it and now I can share it with the kids.
You'll need 12 large Easter eggs labeled on the outside from 1-12 and put the following items inside:
#1 Sacrament cup (or a small cup)
#2 three dimes
#3 small rope or twine
#4 soap chip
#5 red cloth, thorns
#6 cross (use a toothpick) and one small nail
#7 dice
#8 sponge, stick
#9 rocks
#10 white linen cloth, round stone
#11 spices (bay leaf and clove)
#12 leave empty
Read each of the following scriptures as you open each egg:
#1 Matthew 26:39
#2 Matthew 26:14-15, thus fulfilling the prophecy in Zechariah 11:12-14
#3 Matthew 27:1-2
#4 Matthew 27:24-26
#5 Matthew 27:28-30
#6 Matthew 27:31-32, and he was crucified and nailed to a cross.
#7 Matthew 27:35-36
#8 Matthew 27:46, 48
#9 Matthew 27:50-51, 54
#10 Matthew 27:57-60
#11 Matthew 28:1 (bringing sweet spices to anoint Him) 2, and verse 5
#12 Matthew 28:6 "He is not here: for He is risen as He said."
I was so impressed with the kids as we gave this little lesson. More than that I was impressed with their primary teachers. The kids knew many of the answers to the questions we would ask them. I know it was because they have great primary teachers.
After the lesson we dyed Easter eggs together and made Easter treats to pass out.

Christmas Ornaments.com Review - Where Christmas Trees Come to Life
What? Christmas already? No I do know that it is still another 5 months away. I do love Christmas and I will tell you the truth I am always on the look out for screaming deals to tuck away for the holiday time. I was super excited when I was approached to do a review for christmasornaments.com. Why was I so excited? I am one of those people who loves to find an ornament for each of her kids each Christmas. I try really hard to make it one that will remind the kids what they were into that year. Last year I searched and searched and searched for a Shark ornament with no luck for Lil' E. I didn't even think to look online. Silly me. I was even going to buy a shark toy and somehow turn it into an ornament. He settled for a sport ornament instead. This year I need to look no further.
Christmas Ornaments.com had a shark ornament. In fact they have an ornament for really anything you are looking for.
Look how sweet this little ornament is. You can customize it too. If you have a son with brown hair you can switch it to brown haired. Or maybe you are having a baby girl. You can make the baby he is holding a baby girl. Or what about a big sister and baby sibling. So cute. You can find glass ball ornaments with Baby's First Christmas written on them as well as picture frame ornaments a many others. Are you recently engaged, newly wed, or celebrating an anniversary or other big event as a couple?
Anniversary, Wedding & Engagement Christmas Ornaments may be what you are looking for. For example maybe you are just bought your first house together or are celebrating your first Christmas together. Look at this sweet gingerbread christmas cottage.
When you are on vacation do you look for that perfect ornament to remember your trip? Ever had a hard time finding one? Christmas Ornaments.com carries Vacation Ornaments.
What do I think of the product:
The real critic would be Lil' E. He loves his new ornament. I definately am going to have to put it away before he chooses a place in his room to keep it until Christmas. Even though it is HIS ornament, here are my thoughts on it.
Not only was this product beautifuly painted, the quality of the glass was way better than I expected. It seems like everything now days is being cheaply made. I was thinking I would have to place this little shark high on the tree so that little hands couldn't get to him and easily break him. Yes he is still fragile...he is glass, but it is a very strong glass. He is beautifully painted and then topped with a very nice amount of glitter. It isn't so covered that glitter is left all over everything. Just enough to give it the look and glisten of shark skin. I can't wait to him him on the tree with the light catching on him.
Along with the ornament came a little info blurp that was fun for the kids to read. It wasn't much, but you can tell that thought is put into these ornaments. Just that little extra something puts them over the edge against competitors.
My ordered arrived very quickly. I placed the order and within 5 days recieved it, that is including the weekend. Without the weekend I think it would have arrived sooner.
So yes it is only April and Summer hasn't even begun...but don't you feel better about the whole holiday season when it is stress free because you have already done your shopping? I know I do.
Need some help and hints to a Christmas shopping ease? Christmas Ornaments.com has put together a couple ideas to help with holiday shopping.

Garden Planning at 4am
I did not sleep to well last night. I would wake up off and on and toss and turn. Finally at 4am I decided to just get out of bed. I was going to try falling asleep on the couch, but instead I turned on the computer and began to research more about our garden. I came across a site that had a trial version of a cool program that helps you layout your garden. So at 4am this morning I got my garden all mapped out.
I really dont' know how or what to plant. I just know what we like. This is the first year we have had a LARGE garden. The first year we started we had an area of about 2 feet by 6 feet. We grew some peas, lettuce, corn, zucchini, beans, and cucumbers. Everything but the corn grew and grew and grew.
Last year we moved the garden to a better location and made some raised beds out of door frames we took from 4 doors when we remodeled our house. Last year our garden was...SAD! Nothing really grew. The summer just didn't get warm enough and stay warm enough.
I know not to expect too much out of our garden this first year since we do have all new dirt and compost, but I am so excited to see how it matures. We now have 5 raised beds that are 3x9 feet and 12 inches deep for our veggies. One 4x8 bed that has smaller boxes inside for strawberries. We are trying something this year with the strawberries. We were told that strawberries and onions LOVE each other. So we are growing them together. Hope it works out. Then at the back of the garden is a 2x36 foot bed for raspberries and blackberries. The whole garden is fenced. JBody built some planter boxes to go around the garden fence. We are putting flowers in some and blueberries in others. Where our very first garden was located will be our tomatoes and basil. This area is protected by our garage and hopefully will be even warmer for the tomatoes. I will have to keep you posted on how everything turns out. Now if I can stay awake...I am off to plant some of the seeds.
What are your garden plans? Do you plant your own food? Do you join a co-op? I would love to hear!

My Ideal Romantic "Stay"cation
Yes I did just get done having a fun filled "Stay"cation week with the kids. But I was thinking about it and JBody didn't get to enjoy any of it. Lately we have been busy with getting our yard and garden completed in time to plant new flowers and yummy fruits and vegetables. It is almost complete. Then there is wrestling practice and now baseball practice. It has been fun to work alongside one another and see the kids having fun, but it has been almost every night of the week and then weekends. I think it is time to treat the "two" of us and spend a little one on one time with eachother.
I am hoping that JBody doesn't decide to look on the blog any time soon because I am thinking of a fun, and romantic getaway for the two of us. I recently joined a "Stay"cation Swap (information can be found by clicking the Staycation Swap button on my sidebar). It is sounds so fun and I can't wait to do it. The idea behind the swap is to pair up with another person and send them a box filled with goodies for "Stay"cation that fits their liking. We each will be blogging about a "Stay"cation idea that we would enjoy doing. Maybe with a little luck our boxes will be filled with things to make that "Stay"cation idea come true.

So what would I enjoy doing for my "Stay"cation? I know exactly what to do. I would spend a little time just me and JBody. Look at that cutie in the picture. No not me, him. This is the two of us when we were first engaged. I look at this picture and just smile. Look at how young we looked. Any "Stay"cation with him by my side would be perfect, but I do have an idea in my head of one in particular.
Our day would begin by dropping our three crazy, fun, loud, sweet, adorable children off at my moms house. I would pack them a bag of goodies that they could enjoy with Mema for thier own little "Stay"cation. Maybe a movie and some popcorn. The kids love it when we go to the store and they each get to pick out thier own candy. Along with the movie and goodies, I would pack some of thier favorite games to play with Mema. My kids love memory and Razy really loves Dominoes. They each got these games for Christmas and are always begging to play them.
Then our day really begins.
Going for a Romantic Bike Ride
JBody and I don't own bikes so we would have to find some to rent or borrow. But, how fun would it be to find a meandering country road or a beach at sunset. We have plenty of roads with little traffic for the two of us to enjoy a slow-paced ride enjoying the scenery and the wildlife. Along the way we would take breaks to laugh or catch our breath. Just being out and experiencing nature together would be exhilarating and get the blood flowing to the heart.

Romantic Picnic For Two
Our bike ride would eventually bring us to our lunch destination. I would plan ahead of time for our picnic lunch to be set out and ready for the two of us to enjoy. The basket would be filled with fruits and veggies. Maybe some cheeses and sparkling cider, finger foods or sandwhiches. Look how cute these photos are. Doesn't this look so fun and romantic? I would definately need to invest in a cute basket.

An Overnight Stay at a Local Bed and Breakfast or Country Cottage
When JBody and I were married we spent a couple nights in a cute little cottage that had views of the beach. I would love to go back, just to enjoy an evening getaway from the kids, work, and the hustle bustle of life. We could pack a couple movies we have been wanting to watch and enjoy a quiet evening just the two of us. Then later that night we could go out and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or hot cider as we watch the sunset or gaze at the stars. Is this sounding too cheesy? I think it sounds perfect.
photo from juandefuca.com
The next day before going home we could rent some kayaks and go kayaking out to the Lighthouse on the Spit. I have always wanted to go kayaking and think it would be the perfect ending to a romantic getaway with the love of my life.

Now that I have shared with you my "Stay"cation idea, what would you choose to do for a "Stay"cation? This could be something for yourself like a DIY spa day, a romantic getaway with your significant other, or a fun filled adventure for the whole family? I would love to hear them.

New Name, New Look, New Button
A while ago I asked if you could help me out with a name change. Where is the love people? I got ZERO feedback. I thought I had readers out there. I mean I do get comments on the blog and on facebook. I really thought you would help me out. Maybe you were all enjoying your Spring Break. Maybe you were busy reading the rest of my posts. I am going to believe that that is exactly what you were doing.
Well I figured out a name that I really like. You all know my nickname is Peaches. I decided to go with that in the title. Postively Peaches is what I came up with. I really try to post positive things, happy things, things that just say, "Life is Great!" So what do you think? Hopefully you like it like I do, because well...I don't really have plans to change it.
With a new name comes a new look, and a new button. A friend of mine posted a site that she came across that gives an easy tutorial of how to make a button. I want to share it with you. I also want to share the link that gave a step by step tutorial on how to make the button in photoshop. So if anyone is looking to make a blog check these sites out.

DERMagic Review
Many of you know that the area we live in gets lots of rain. They say we get less rain than other places around us, but it still is plenty for us. Winter and springtime are especially wet. Personally I don't think that rain or snow for that matter mix well with dogs. I have learned this over the past year and half since we have had our little Bella. Baths are not my favorite thing to give our dog. However, I will say that when she is all clean and soft I love it.
Right now we are redoing our garden beds and Bella thought that she needed to help out in the garden. Lil' E brought her to me looking like this. She had decided that she was going to romp and roll through the garden compost dirt pile. Yeah for me I got to clean a wet and very, very dirty dog. I have to do baths in the bathtub and not the kitchen sink because it kinda grosses me out that she shakes all over and I DO NOT want wet dog all over my kitchen.
Ahh look at our little fluff ball all clean and in need of a haircut. So let me tell you about the shampoo that I use and love for Bella. It is called DERMagic. I recently found it at our local Pet Nutritional Store. So why do I love this shampoo and conditioner so much? Bella suffers from hot spots. We found out not too long ago that it had alot to do with her diet. The Shampoo and Conditioner helped relieve her itchy skin. I love this product because everytime I use it it leaves her soft and silky. It detangles as it cleans and conditions. And then there is the added benefit of it's scent. I don't like wet dog smell at all. The mixture of green tea and peppermint is very pleasant. It doesn't just mask odors, it eliminates them.
According to their website,
DERMagic is an All Natural Skin Care for Animals.
Stop Itching
Promote Rapid Healing
Speed Hair Regrowth
Fight Infections
Gentle and Effective
DERMagic's Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Peppermint and Tea Tree Oil Conditioner work best together and there's a special offer on 16 oz. bottles, one of each. The shampoo contains no SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate) and is specially formulated to soothe and condition the skin, eliminate odor and stimulate the healing process. The conditioner smells so good you’ll want to use it on yourself. And, your pet's coat will be tangle-free and soft, and resistant to attack by microbes. (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CATS.)
Here is our little Bella after her bath and with a haircut.
I was not paid by DERMagic to write this review.

What's in a Name? Time for a Name Change.
So I have been thinking for a while now that I really need to change the name of our blog. No we aren't pregnant and becoming a party of 6. I figured that would be the first thing to run through many heads. I need something that describes my blog more. Something that can be found easy and has the name of our blog in the url. The only problem is I am horrible at wit. I cannot come up with a witty name that plays off of things in my blog. So here I am asking for help. I am asking my readers...though it is still few. I know you guys can come up with something cute. I mean look at what you have already come up with for yourselves...
These are just a few to mention. I have come up with a couple, but am afraid to share due to I think they are cute, but do you? Maybe I shouldn't worry what others think, but I do. I am a pleaser. Not only do I want to please myself, I tend to try to please everyone else first. Okay, okay I will share my thoughts. Don't laugh and if you do don't tell me. I am kind of playing with the idea of peaches and I do use it on the blog a bit. I did even use it for my cake blog...Peach of Cake.
How Sweet It Is
Sweet is the Life
The Sweet Life
Life's Sweetest Moments
I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't even go that route. I just know that I want to change our name and yes even with it being a pain, my url as well. So what do you think? Can you help me out? Through your ideas at me. They can be with or without sweet in them. I just need something GOOD!
"STAY"cation Destination Answers and WINNER!!
Before announcing the winner, I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that played. It was alot of fun seeing your answers. It got really close in the end, but we had a winner by ONE point. So without further ado...here are the answers!
Lake Cresent. We went to do their little 1/2 mile loop (Moments in Time Trail). We ventured to do the Marymere Falls trail, but there was no way the kids would have made it so we left and headed to Shadow Mountain General Store for Icecream.
Port Williams Beach and Ichikawa for sushi!
Dungeness Spit. We are definately going to back. I can't believe I haven't taken the kids before. Can't wait for summer to go when it is warmer.
The Seattle Science Center. This one was a bit harder for some. I didn't want to be obvious with it by adding pictures of the sciency stuff. I added some photos here for you to enjoy!
The Point Defiance Zoo. I thought this one was going to be a dead giveaway. Nope lots of you thought the aquarium. Yes it is an aquarium, but it is part of the zoo. It is Lil' E's favorite because it has the sharks.
Home Depot Kids Workshop. If you haven't done this with your kids it is a must. They say it is for 5-12 year olds, but our Home Depot lets them go younger. It is a super easy project and the kids get an apron and a pin that shows what they built. We will definately try to do this every month.
AND THE WINNER IS...
ROXANNE!
Roxanne came in the lead with 6 correct answers
Stacy a close second with 5
Jenn came in third with 4

Banana Crumb Muffin Recipe
Tonight while JBody was at Priesthood session for General Conference, I decided to let the kids watch Tangled. We just received it from Netflix. With a movie, often times comes snacks. As I looked around for something for the kids to snack on I found some ripe bananas. I remembered Razy talking about making cupcakes and decided to go muffins. I quickly surfed the web for a test worthy muffin recipe. I found a yummy sounding Banana Crumb Muffin recipe with great reviews.
So what was our verdict?
DELICIOUS, yummy, ScRUMPtious, mmmmmMMMMM! The list could go on.
Here is the original version of the muffins. I actually made some additions. You can find those and some tips at the end of the recipe.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 bananas, mashed
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 10 muffin cups, or line with muffin papers.
2.In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat together bananas, sugar, egg and melted butter. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture just until moistened. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
3.In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle topping over muffins.
4.Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.
So I added 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. of cinnamon to the muffin mix
The topping is seems to cook into the muffin if you add it before putting it in the oven. I actually did a batch by putting the topping mix on 5 minutes before baking time ended.
In my oven I baked the mini muffins for 7 mins then added topping and baked another 5 mins.
I baked the larger muffins for 17 mins adding the topping at the begining. Next time I would bake for 12 mins and then add topping and bake another 5 mins.
Let me know if you tried these out and what you thought.

"STAY"cation Destination 6
Today is our last Destination for our "STAY"cation. We have been doing alot of DIY projects at home and the kids loved being able to make something all on their own. They each made their own planter boxes. We spent the rest of the day in the garden, preparing it for the season. Still lots of work left, but I can't wait to get my hands dirty and get some seeds planted. The first things to go in will be our raspberries and blackberries...mmm. In the next couple of days (after their boxes have dried) the kids will plant their violas they bought to go in. They can't wait.
I was really impresses how well each one did. They really didn't need any help from me at all.
Can you guess where we went today?
Remember if you are visiting from facebook, please leave your comments here or private message me you guess and I can add it in. It is easier if you do it here, but I am happy to help those who might be having trouble posting to blogger. If you haven't made your guess to yesterdays post feel free. You have until the end of our "STAY"cation Destination giveaway to do so. The game ends Sunday at 10pm and the winner will be announced Monday.
