ROOMMATES

I just found a few pictures of college life. These are all pre-marriage (although I was engaged). I won't lie to you roommate life was not always bliss. It is really hard for 6 girls to share a home with eachother. I mean come on, we all know that girls can be emotional, mean, and jealous. But we did have our good moments as well. Remember the time we played that great practical joke on the boys late at night? Or Alice do you remember going over to freak JBody out at his dorm?

Flashback Friday

Today's Flashback Friday is a picture of JBody and his famiy. Can you guess which one is him? He is the cute little dimpled boy sitting in the front with a red shirt on. JBody is the youngest of 6 kids. His mom looks so young in this picture. Doesn't she look beautiful. She looks great for having 6 children. For those of you who thought Lil' E looks exactly like his daddy, here is more proof that he sure does.

Flashback Friday

This weeks Flasback Friday takes us back to December of 2000. This is one of our engagement pictures. We look so young here. We got engaged September of 2000. I had just graduated from HS that June and in February that same year JBody had returned from his mission. We met at a Young Single Adult Activity for church the end of June. By July we had begun dating and on September 26 we were engaged. Fast I know, but when you know why wait? 8 months later we were married in the Seattle Temple. I love this picture. I think it really shows us in that new love stage. Although I may not have that same look on my face I am more in love with JBody then I was then. The past 7+ years of marriage have been wonderful with a man by my side who I love and will love for eternity. Does this picture remind anyone else of a magazine? For some reason it does me.

Oh the good old days of college. Yes this picture was taken at a college dance. We look so young that you would think we were in High School. College seems so long ago. Actually it was quite awhile ago, about 7 years since this picture was taken and 8 and half since we started. I loved college, the friends, the classes, and the environment. JBody and I went to a church college. When we first enrolled it was Ricks college, but later it changed to Brigham Young University-Idaho. What a great place. There really is something special about BYU-I. It continues today to hold onto the "Spirit of Ricks". The student-teacher relationships, student-student relationships, and the spirit that it creates. The town since then has gotten alot bigger, but at the time it was just a small town with the school set up on the hill. Now there is a LDS temple and numerous church buildings, married housing, and much much more. There are times that I miss it, but am grateful for the opportunity to have been able to blessed to attend such a great school. It is where I was able to gain a stronger testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and build a strong foundation on the way I wanted to live my life and teach my children.
